Sectional garage doors
Construction of a sectional door

The door leaf is made of steel panels with heights of 500, 555 and 610 mm, the choice of which depends on the height of the door. The door blade is made of 40 mm thick panels or 60 mm in Thermo 60 doors, which are filled with CFC-free polyurethane foam. From the outside, the panels are varnished or covered with PVC films. Each panel is terminated with white lacquered galvanised sheet metal fittings. The lower panel has a seal fitted to the substrate, while the upper panel has a seal fitted to the lintel. A seal is also fitted where the two panels meet, as well as a „finger protection” system that protects the user from pinched fingers. All the components we use to manufacture our doors are carefully selected and tested to ensure that the doors operate smoothly and are therefore protected against many emergencies.

Operating a sectional door

Safe panels

In sectional doors, we have introduced a number of special solutions to improve the safety of use. One of them is the finger protection system, which is present at the panel joints. The appropriate shape of the panels guarantees protection against finger trapping, both during the opening and the closing of the door.

Manual override

A manually operated sectional door is fitted as standard with a deadbolt, which is mounted and operated from the inside. It is primarily used for doors without a lock and effectively prevents the locked door from being lifted from the outside.

Castle

The handle lock is recommended for doors installed in garages without an additional entrance. Nitus automatic sectional doors use this type of lock when it is not possible to open or close the door using a remote control, for example.

Protection against spring fracture

For increased safety in daily use, each sectional garage door is fitted as standard with spring break devices.

Cable break protection

Sectional garage doors with a surface area of 9 m² or more are fitted with cable breakage protection as standard. Doors smaller than 9 m² can be optionally equipped with these safety devices.

Service door in the sectional door

A sectional door with a service door is a very functional and practical solution. In such a situation, the garage fulfils both its primary function, providing shelter for the car, and also serves as a utility room or backyard workshop. The use of a service door in the sectional door provides greater comfort and saves time. Entering the garage through the service door results in significantly less heat loss. In our offer, automatically operated sectional doors have a service door opening sensor as standard. As a result, automatic opening of the door is only possible when the service door is closed. An interesting variety for this type of door is the possibility of an aluminium glazed section. For greater ease of use, we offer our customers service doors with a low - 30 mm aluminium threshold.

Sectional garage door operator

Overload protection

When the segments encounter an obstacle, the door leaf automatically stops and then reverses upwards.

Emergency power supply system

In the event of a power failure, continued operation of the door is possible thanks to the emergency power battery, which provides an alternative energy source.

Photocells

The operation of the photocells consists of stopping the closing door and returning it to the open position as soon as an obstacle appears in the passage light.

Control

Remote controls are a standard feature of sectional door control, allowing the door to be operated without leaving the car. The development of modern technology also makes it possible to control the door via a smartphone or tablet

Embossing patterns

Sectional doors are available in several embossing patterns. The offered variants allow to emphasise the interesting stylistics of the product and suit tastes of those who appreciate modern solutions.
